From June 5 to 7, 2023, the global conference Green Destinations Latin America 2023 took place in Brazil, with participants from 11 nations attending the conference. A longer-term collaboration between green-solutions and Del Turismo was also agreed during the conference.
The projects and the next steps regarding the planning and digitalization of destinations in Brazil are more concrete and our tourinfra® tour software is being used in the first projects in Brazil. Our colleague Janina Bäumler carried out the first successful training sessions with tourinfra® mobil on site.
Green Destinations ‘ global conferences have become one of the leading events for sustainable tourism destinations. Green Destinations Days has already hosted seven global editions in European destinations. The event combines presentations and workshops on sustainable development in national and international tourism, networking with industry leaders, award ceremonies and the presentation of reference destinations and their stories. It also includes technical components that enable participants to experience responsible tourism.
As in previous years, the event brought together sustainability professionals, destinations and tourism associations through best practices and the exchange of experiences, providing space for debate on the development of more responsible and sustainable tourism in Latin America. In this context, Janina Bäumler presented the implementation of sustainable tourism projects with the help of our overall solution tourinfra.
