Brazil was the destination of the trip led by the Educational Institute of the Bavarian Economy on the topic of “Development of sustainable tourism”. 4 Bavarian companies & administrations presented their know-how and implementations in this area. Besides Hauser Excursions, Schlosshotel Blumenthal and Arberland Regio also presented green-solutions projects and technical solutions for sustainable tourism. The presentations, which were spread throughout Brazil, were organized locally by Instituto Del and Del Turismo and were very well attended with more than 800 visitors.

The need and demand in Brazil for sustainable tourism and suitable offers is huge. The demand for tools and know-how for the creation and planning of sustainable tourism offers was also more than clear during the presentations.

In order to meet this demand, future cooperation between green-solutions and Del Turismo was launched during the trip. Concrete steps and projects have been planned for the coming months in order to be presented at the next Green Destinations Latin America! in June to agree on long-term cooperation. Following the event with more than 300 participants from 11 nations green-solutions will implement initial projects on site with colleagues from Del Turismo colleagues.

As part of a long-term cooperation, a comprehensive transfer of know-how in the area of planning and digitalization of destinations is planned. Tourinfra® will be positioned as the central data hub for destinations in Brazil and will be supported by Del Turismo distributed by Del Turismo. The system will be further developed for use in Brazil and expanded to include the areas of hosts, POIS, gastronomy and events.
