Major Chiemgau Alps project nearing completion!
We are entering the home straight – we are currently equipping the last starting points…
After 4 years of detailed work, we are proud to present the “Chiemgau Alps Hiking Region” project. A great deal of commitment and energy has gone into this extensive project.
Here are a few facts:
After the planning phase 4 years ago and extensive exploration of the region, we entered all the hiking trails into tourinfra© and, based on this, implemented the signage and guidance system in accordance with the DAV specifications. “Since then, the company Wamic has produced more than 4,000 signs based on our print templates. In the next step, the municipalities have placed these in the region with the help of our installation instructions.
The central data hub in all areas is “tourinfra”. The editors from the Chiemgau Alps region have been feeding the tour and infrastructure management program for 4 years now.
In addition to the signage and guidance system, this holistic project includes four exclusive hiking maps in collaboration with our partner Kompass for the areas of Bergen – Inzell – Reit im Winkl – Ruhpolding – Siegsdorf. Guests receive high-quality, modern and up-to-date maps with elevation profiles for their local activities. The QR codes provided provide an optimal link to the apps in the region.
The overall concept is finalized with the information boards at 40 central starting points in the region. The experiences for guests begin – in addition to the tour information, hikers receive lots of information about the special features of the hiking region.
After the hiking project, we look forward to the upcoming projects in the cycling and MTB sector in the region!
Tourinfra: Tourism regions, associations and data marketers can use the web-based solution to create, edit and refine tours and infrastructure data as well as tourism data. This management solution is currently used in around 70 regions in Austria, Germany and Italy. These include large and heavily frequented tourist regions such as the Chiemgau Alps, the Achental eco-model, the Upper Palatinate Forest, the Franconian Forest and the Bavarian Forest. In these regions, the system is also used intensively to manage the tourist infrastructure alongside tour management.
Tourinfra supports you in the conception, planning, tour recording, signposting, management and marketing of your destination.
