Our tour management has come a long way. With version 1.8 Wank, you can expect a number of improvements – both visually and technically. It’s colorful – new colors, new icons, that’s probably the first thing that catches your eye. We have structured and delineated the individual areas more clearly for you. In the future, we will continue to develop tour management for you as“tourinfra“. Because tour management has long since become much more than just a tool for preparing hiking tours for the website:

Order and manage signs and infrastructure, create hiking and biking guides yourself via w2p until they are ready for printing, etc.

The technical focus of the latest update is on infrastructure management in particular. Here you can expect a completely revised input interface and several special features:

• The integration of our route calculation tool when creating new signs: You can now quickly and easily enter or check sign content such as distance and walking time to the destination using the automatic routing calculation.
• New destination database to facilitate effective coordination of signage in larger regions
• After the ADFC cycle signs, our green valley destination signs and our brown POI signs, the yellow DAV and OeAV signposts now also have a we2p live view and thus enable a binding print preview

But that’s not all for this year – we are still working hard to bring you even more improvements in 2013:

• Complete revision of our infrastructure location PDF with overview map, directions, fastening details, etc.
• New altitude profile tool
• Activity overview for effective editor management
• First prototypes of tourinfra mobil: recording and maintaining infrastructures and signs in the field
