TRAIL GUIDANCE SYSTEMS
Trail guidance systems – Planning & installation | tourinfra®
Cross-country skiing is one of the sports that has steadily gained in importance in recent years. Many destinations have rediscovered cross-country skiing for their guests, particularly as a result of the past winter seasons characterized by corona. The increasing demand will certainly continue this season, as demand for alpine skiing in particular is stagnating due to the sharp rise in prices.
Due to these conditions, the demand for modern cross-country ski trail guidance systems is also increasing. For years, we have been supporting destinations such as Seefeld, Reit im Winkl, Inzell and many others in the implementation of such projects, from conception, planning, recording and production through to final installation.
Since the summer, we have integrated two new guidance systems into our overall solution tourinfra solution. The new guidance systems Ö-Norm 2022 and the trail system for Germany complement the existing systems Ammergau Alps, Chiemgau Alps and the Tyrolean trail system.

The two new signage systems were developed on the basis of our new printing solution in tourinfra integrated. The solution enables us, together with our printing partner Wiesendanger Medien to take the entire process from planning to production to a new level of automation. The new technology allows us to respond to the individual requirements of each printing partner. Thanks to the modern machines at Wiesendanger Medien, the signs are produced using the direct printing process and automatically cut from the large plates based on the cut lines in the PDF. Boring holes are also created on the basis of the data from tourinfra and implemented in the sign. The following video shows the entire process up to the finished trail signage.
