The Pfaffenwinkel tourism association and the Zugspitz region have developed an innovative leisure cycling concept that will delight culture, nature and pleasure lovers alike. Cyclists can explore the Alpine foothills between Ammersee and Zugspitze on over 30 new daily stages and circular tours. The tours offer a wide range of options: from short day trips to multi-day experiences that can be easily combined with public transport. Themed tours such as “MuSeenLandschaft Expressionismus” or “Himmlisch genießen” take you through the idyllic landscape and past farm stores, breweries and beer gardens. Sporting activities such as “Gravel biking with a view of the Zugspitze” and cycling pilgrimage tours round off the offer.
The route signage was successfully installed by the company green-solutions. The project, with total costs of €120,000, is 50% funded by the National Climate Protection Initiative. This project promotes cycling in the region and at the same time makes an important contribution to climate protection.
