UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Rhön – a national natural landscape in the border triangle of Bavaria, Hesse and Thuringia, where people and nature live in harmony. To further advance this goal, the Hessian administration has started to re-signpost the hiking trails. The basis for this mammoth task is our tourinfra® tour and infrastructure management system. After a comprehensive set-up process, the 4 new signage templates have now been created. The employees have started to incorporate the information into the sign printing system and set up the central destination database.
The central working module in the current project phase is the Infraviewer. This view is used to create signage, measure routes, fill the central destination database and order the signs created. After this project phase, the tour data and the route networks are made available to guests via our output modules. In a further step, the data will be transferred to the region’s future map series.
