We are particularly pleased to be able to show the first visible successes from our LEADER-funded mountain bike project in the two Local Action Groups Altmühlfranken and Monheimer Alb/Altmühljura regions at the end of 2018.

The project comprises the development of modern mountain bike offers in 9 project municipalities. Not every municipality has the same prerequisites and project goals, but we have succeeded in getting the project partners excited about the topic through a common denominator of the target group and ultimately getting the first stones rolling with locally implementable projects – in the truest sense of the word!

Pump tracks will be initiated in the municipalities of Gunzenhausen and Weißenburg as the first visible results, followed by jointly developed official mountain bike offers for the local clubs, schools, locals, visitors and guests.

We still have a little time left to develop this really fun project further. We have found a wonderful client and project partner in RC Germania Weissenburg, which organizes one of the most important enduro racing events in Germany every October, namely the qualifying race as part of the Central European Enduro Series. This time it’s really about mountain biking!
