Reward of 3 years of planning, Inn-Salzach we RadReiseRegion
With the positive certification by the ADFC, it is now official. Inn-Salzach becomes the next RadReiseRegion in Germany. The award will be presented at the ITB in Berlin in March.
A lot of hard work lies behind us. The team worked in the Inn-Salzach cycling region for more than 3 years. From research to network planning, many discussions on site, route mapping and signage planning, map production, information board production to checking the installation, we have brought all our know-how to the region. The reward for our work is now the RadReiseRegion award.
Together with the Inn-Salzach tourism association, an impressive project was implemented in 3 years. The figures speak for themselves…
- Development of a continuous cycle path network including digitalization with 1,500 km of cycle paths,
- 24 new themed tours,
- 18 long-distance/interregional cycle paths,
- 800 geo-referenced POIs and
- 96 information boards in 55 municipalities
- Comprehensive service infrastructure with bike rental points, e-bike charging stations, bett+bike businesses, tube vending machines, etc.
- 24 volunteer path patrons regularly ride the cycle paths in the Inn-Salzach region, check the condition of the paths and signage and report any defects to the quality management team
- 5,420 signposts, 3,473 hanging signets, 399 posts and 230 post extensions have been installed at 2,557 locations
- the implementation meets the requirements of the ADFC in terms of design and structure
Green-solutions successfully guided us through the entire RadReiseRegion process over a period of 21/2 years. The team led by Janina Bäumler successfully implemented all process steps and thus created the basis for the Inn-Salzach CycleTravelRegion. Thanks to the digital basis of the infrastructure in tourinfra, we believe we are well positioned for the further development of the cycling region.
