New functions in tourinfra – January 2023

The focus of the work in January was on updating the basic systems. This work was almost completed at the beginning of February. Thanks to the update, we can now move on to the planned implementations for 2023. The update is noticeable for our customers thanks to an improvement in speed, particularly in the tourinfra backend. We have also integrated two important functions in the area of tour lists.

In the revised list view, the tour / trail status is now displayed directly. The origin of the status is also communicated to the user.

The second innovation concerns the area of open data. The declared aim here is to make data generally accessible in the form of open data. By open data, we mean all information on the subject of tours that is designed to be accessible and usable without restriction and for further dissemination in the interests of the general public. This quickly raises the question of the legal framework and the extent to which the Creative Commons licenses, which are often mentioned in this context, are applicable for tourinfra customers.
The CC licenses for the individual tour content were already defined last year. A preview of the status of the tour elements has now been integrated into the list. A click on the new icon shows the status of the tour elements such as text, images, route etc. with regard to the CC license.
